Increase Your Standard of Giving
If you were the CEO of a company that made millions and had a salary of $1,000,000 per year would you downgrade to $70,000 a year just so that your employees could earn a minimum wage of $70,000 for the year?
That’s exactly what’s happening at a company called Gravity and it’s owner Dan Price is doing. Currently the average employee of the company is making around $48,000 a year. This isn’t bad for most single people but for a family if the spouse is unemployed it isn’t very good.
Dan decided to help all of his employees by doing something many CEOs would hold as unthinkable. He is cutting back his standard of living from $1,000,000 a year to $70,000 a year and working to increase his employees salaries to match the $70,000.
It sort of reminds me of a Facebook post that I once read and agree with which said “When your income increases don’t increase your standard of living, but increase your standard of giving.”

The thing is that I didn’t post a video to my blog. Yes there is a link to a video but that link just tells a little bit more about what I revealed in the story I posted. Furthermore, I have heard that some details about this story have changed and that what the owner did caused the company to lose money and possibly have to close its doors.
