Matthew 6:34 ESV Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
One of my favorite things to do is to spend time outdoors enjoying nature. I like to be around lakes and water but at the same time even though I can swim a bit I have a bit of a fear of drowning.
Something that I have wanted to do for a long time is to go Kayaking. Since today is the first time that I ever tried doing so and I needed to do it by myself for the first time I went to a local area lake, called Holmes Lake and proceeded to put the Kayak in the water.
At one point a friend called and I ended up not paying attention to what was going on and drifted into some branches hanging over the lake. It took quite a bit of paddling to get out of there. But you know what? It was fun, it was exhilarating, and it made me feel alive. And it is important to feel alive.
Then I explored more of the lake. And it is important to feel alive. Our Creator God wants us to experience all that there is to life. He doesn’t want us to hide in a shell. If we do that we become overcome by fear and and anxiety and never reach out.
